event rider Kylie Roddy.
A working pupil of Leslie
Law until 2004, Kylie has
recently acquired a new ride
courtesy of Shearwater

Red (above). "I am excited
by his potential," says Kylie.
"He is bold and brave."
Kylie aims to take part in
five-year-old classes in 2011
and progress from there.

JO Rixon joins Darbys' busy
Equine Team to specialise
in personal injury claims. Jo
has been dealing with
personal injury claims since
2000 and started dealing
with equestrian claims in
2006 due to her interest
in all things horse-related.
She has represented riding
schools, livery and racing
yards, and saddlers with
numerous successes. Jo
is also a member of British
Evevnting.

2 August: Strathallan Castle in Perthshire hosts
a cross-country schooling day with BE-accredited trainer
David Gatherer. In groups of five, the hour-and-a-half
session will train over courses ranging from BE80 to
BE Novice providing ideal preparation for the Scottish
Championships at Scone and Hendersyde. Course fee:
£45 per horse and you can use your EHOA voucher. To

1 & 2 August: Show jumping course with Tracey
Newman near Bolton, Lancs. A day and a half, in
groups of three. Course fee: including accommodation,
