The 4* event rider Rosie Thomas is keen to take on new rides for next season

Rosie is proving to be one of the world’s finest event riders, gaining a 9th at Burghley this year on Barry's Best, the horse she broke and produced herself. She won the Jemima Johnson award last year for the rider most epitomising the spirit of the sport and could not have been a more deserving winner. Rosie has a fantastically positive attitude to her sport, her horses, her schooling and training…and her owners (including me).

Rosie operates from the family farm on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire borders, where she runs a riding school and livery yard with her mum, dad and sister. Because overheads are low, Rosie can offer owners a very cost-effective package.

There are excellent facilities on the farm, including indoor and outdoor schools, a horse-walker, traditional stables and ample grazing. See www.graftonfarm.co.uk for more details. (You can tell from the website that Rosie doesn’t do self-promotion, which is why I am posting this message for her.)

You can email Rosie via the website or call her on 07970 814128. Or if I can provide more information, please call me (Helen Hamilton) on 07891 261936

She is long listed already for the 2009 European Championships on 3 horses and has recently competed in Portugal achieving 5 placings and 7 international qualifying results.

Flora needs to syndicate some of her horses to continue with her eventing career. Anyone interested - and it will be worth it! - please click here for further information.

This is an excellent way to have an interest in an event horse without a major commitment. Please support this really talented young rider.

Sports Psychology

Sports psychology can help everyone, from those starting out to those wishing to achieve the ultimate performance. You do not have to be an elite athlete to benefit from sports psychology. If you have ever felt the jitter of nerves or self-doubt or maybe you are frightened of performing badly or you simply had a bad performance last time out, or perhaps you are now in the lead and you suddenly stand to loose a lot, or maybe you are at home training and practising and have simply lost all motivation and direction. Whatever it is sports psychology can help you. Click here for more
